Stewed Yee Fu Mee and Risotto

Last night brought some roast pork home from Hubby's fren... So instead of doing a braised... I planned a Stewed Yee Fu Mee...

Woke up in the morning... Rushing to do the noodles and pan fried the Yam Cakes for them... Busy messing up all the pans... Brought a share back for my mom and princes to try too...

Had not been doing Risotto... One of my princes' favourite... Done it with bean paste stock... Corns and Scallops... Nice and sweet... They love it...

All About Noodles

Nothing much left in the fridge... Thus today's menu will be all about noodles... Hubby never like mee sua... Mil had done before for him and it was all soggy and very starchy... Thats is the reason why he never like it...

As for a mee sua lover like me... Of cos I will try to convince my hubby to like it too... Therefore I decided to do Fried Mee Sua for him...

Got the recipe online and started to do it my way... I used Yihon (if i spelled correctly) mushrooms... They are mushrooms in bottle... With added flavour... I had used the spicy kind... With some prawns and chicken bits... Guess what... Hubby mistaken it as bee hoon and like it... Haha... And when I told him was mee sua he was surprised...

I also did Aglio Olio for him... I love it... But he is not a western food lover... Rejected it... He dislike the taste of the herbs... Haha... It wasnt too oily... And the texture of the pasta was just right...

Went over mommy's place for soup... And done a simple steamed cod fish for my princes... Forgot to take pictures of it... By the time picture taken only a bit left... Steamed it with dang gui and red dates... With soy bean paste and mirin... They love it...

Seafood Lunch

Cooking!!! Did seafood lunch... Recently tasted Steamed Baby Squid at a ze cha stall and thought of doing it for Hubby... Pan Fried Fillet and Dou Miao in Oyster Sauce...

I had fried the ginger, spring onions and celery with chilli and garlic first... Then placed it on the baby squid and placed it to steamed... Had added a little bit of soy sauce on it too... It is fresh and fragrant...

My First Tom Yam Soup with Chicken and Fish

Had not been cooking for days... Hubby busy and I am on leave...

Oh ya... Had done Salsa and Basil Pesto with Spinach... Taste good... The Basil Pesto is really refreshing with Lemon... I actually spread it over toasted bread... Nice!!! Tomorrow morning will do Basil Pesto with Tuna on my Baguette... Will update!!!

Let's talk about my first Tom Yam Soup with Chicken and Fish... I used my Homecook Chilli Paste... With all the necessary Tom Yam ingredients.. Instead of using young coconut juice to make a clear soup... I used packet coconut milk... Though its creamy... But the taste was awesome...

I brought it home for Daddy to try... And the only comment was "not spicy enough"... I was so happy!!! Cos Daddy is very picky on my cooking and his comment to me is very important... Today he is telling me its successful!!!

Sunday Dinner

Had done a simple dinner on Sunday... Wanted to do Laksa but change in the end change the idea... But had grind and do up the Laksa Paste for later use...

Had done Potato Soup... Chicken Katsu... Breaded Mushroom... Fried Calamari... And The All-In Dish...

This time round for the Potato Soup i had accidentally added dried omysters in it... Was so afraid the soup will taste weird but still was ok and sweet...

Remember my last entry on Pork Katsu... Instead of using the same brand "Koji" breadcrumbs... I had tried Japanese breadcrumbs... The taste is fabulous... Much tastier than the previous time... Had done more than only Chicken Katsu... Breaded Mushrooms... Calamari... Hubby love the Thigh instead of the Breast... I love the Thigh more too... My boys love it too...

Now to the All-In Dish... Haha... Its all in one... But its nice... Won praises from hubby and aunt...

Wow... Didnt know there are so much ingredients in the All-In Dish.. Though there are so much ingredients we still manage to finish it... Nice...

The tedious job is the Chilli Paste... Which I can use it later to cook other dishes... Had a hard time cooking it... Really have to take my hats off to those who do nice chilli paste...

Thats all for Sunday night... These few days got to rest and not cook... Trying to control my desire to cook though... Hubby's partner is back and he might be too busy at work and having lunch with his partner and I am on leave too... Therefore he asked me to rest... Haha...

Still cannot stop my desire... I did some sauces to standby anytime... Lolx... Did my homemade Salsa and Pesto Sauces... Cant wait to taste them on my bread...

Oreo Cheese Cake

Had just finish doing my first oreo cheese cake... Smell delicious... But duno how will the cake turns out to be... So excited!!!

Okie... Updates on the cake... Was nice!!! But the sad thing is the cream melted too fast... Try harder next time...

First Teriyaki Lunch for Dear

Slept at 12mn last night but still seems to be so tired... Woke up at 6am... And rushing off to do lunch bento for Hubby...

Was thinking of doing Orange Chicken for him... But in the end did Teriyaki Chicken for him... He requested for Fried Rice... Used Spicy Spam Ham instead of the normal Luncheon Meat... Not too bad... Wanted to do simple chicken bites... In the end still did a frying on them... Popcorn Chickens with Teriyaki Sauce... Haha...

First Jap Dinner

Was home late last evening... The first thing was to change and get into the my "heaven" (kitchen) to do my favorite activity... And it was COOKING!!! Haha...

Took out the pork chops bought and cheese!!! Going to whip up a Japanese Cuisine... My first virgin Japanese Cuisine... Did Cheesy Katsu Rice with Curry... Stir Fried Vegetables with Pork... Nice!!! Hubby give a "Like" on the dinner!!!

Right after dinner we went for a movie... Watch "Sadako in 3D"... Scary movie... Hubby says the 1st and 2nd is scarier... Too bad I didnt watch... We walked over to Westmall and back after movie... Nice!!!

Frustrated

Bad day at work today! Got so frustrated and disappointed with my management... Felt so down at work now that I wish I could do cooking now to brighten my mood...

Another 5 hours to struggle at work before I could head home to do my cooking... Thinking of whipping up dinner for my hubby... Jap Curry with Port Katsu... Stir Fried Vegetables with Garlic and Bacon... Herbal Winter Melon Soup... Anymore??? Haha...

My Signature Curry

Rush home after work and whipped up a nice dinner for hubby... Did my signature curry and a few other dishes... Didnt manage to bring curry for Hubby... Too much dishes already...

Delivered the dinner specially to hubby before meeting up w my group... Was so happy receiving hubby's msg thanking me and he likes the dinner...

Brought my curry to my group instead... They had always love my curry... Jokingly asking me to start a stall doing curry... Lolx...

Glad that hubby like my clams and mussels as its my first trial... And also zucchini... Tamago was my first attempt too... I did it w century egg and bonita flakes... And the all-time fav pickled vege w minced meat...

Was on leave today... Went to my fav haunt this morning!!! Market!!! But my fav still the market at mummy's place...

Had bought so much food... Haha... All tbe uncles and aunties telling me they didnt see me for so long... Not only that... Even the uncles and aunties and mummy's market asking where had i gone too??? Hubby says they missing a big "radish"... It means people who alway get cheater by others by paying or buying alot at high price... Haha... Not that they cheat me but because i usually buys alot at one go... Haha...

Kk... Gotta end it here tonight... Had just fetch my elder prince from his enrichment class... Having their favourite Macdonalds now...

Shopping at Plaza Singapura

Had spend 2 hours walking around in Plaza Singapura last night just to look for some soft toys...
Some Japanese Aroma Wellness Sheep that will assists in deep and relax sleep... But our search was futile... Hubby first time spend his precious time walking around with me...

In the end we only managed to at least get some groceries from Daiso... bought Bonito Flakes... And rice colouring... for Deco Furi!!! Was so excited when I saw it at Daiso... Its actually Rice Colouring... Happy!!! Can't wait to do Bento for my darlings...

Hubby was "forced" to go supermarket with me too... Wanted to do a lunch for him today... Too bad I overslept this morning... Though not able to do lunch we could do dinner instead... Probably got to rush home after work to do it for him... More pictures to upload tomorrow...

My Virgin Oyakodon

Was a busy Sunday... Arranged MJ session for Mommy and Brother (of course I do have a chance to play one round)... Been so long since my last game... Asked our khakis who had not come over for so long... It was so nice to see them again... their jokes... their laughter... the noisy gang...

Since its Fathers' Day... We arranged a steamboat dinner for all... Woke up early in the morning to do marketing... Daddy of course sleeping as he had stayed up till 5am watching his soccer match...

And of course I took some time off to do a simple lunch for my 2 Princes... Did my first virgin Oyakodon... Not too sweet as I skipped the sugar for it... May want to add it in sugar for kids...

Had also done my first Tiramisu over the weekend... My first creation with my own receipe... No alchol but I add on Oreo Cookie Base and Strawberrys... And also my first layer of cream with Chocolate... Not too sweet... Next round will do it with alchol for the strong taste...

Had a tough day fighting with my virus (yes, still sick)... but still it never keep me from my hobby... cooking!!!

Hubby's Lunch Box

Woke up early to do lunch for hubby. Had been terribly sick for 3 days, barely well. Though sick and tired but still wish to do lunch for hubby.

Had done a balanced lunch with greens and meat. If not he will complained for only greens no meat. Had done a mixed rice today for him. With my own self-made sambal as a "gravy" for him.
